| The SV650 is gone and I have a new project now. It's running lean as hell. Has a little hesitation in the very beginning of twist on the throttle then clears right up. Tried a couple of hillbilly cleanings on the carbs with small results. Gonna have to tear them down this weekend for a proper cleaning and inspection I guess. 1995 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 | |

| Thanks. Unfortunately, I already put 2 dents in the gas tank.
Lesson learned: Always set tank in a safe place and not on the frame while working on the bike...

| Ain't it funny how we go out and buy a bike that someones been riding for years pretty much stock and been very satisfied with, and it runs great, but we start chopping away (I did the same thing) to get it the way we want it. My dad used to say "leave well enough alone" or "if it ain't broke don't fix it", but we never listened. | |

| I like the feeling of knowing my bike is different from all the others and knowing every body else can't just pick parts out of a catalog to make theirs look just like it. | |

Yes. No different than a body. Ya just cut it up into little pieces first.

I do. They are very comfy. The key is not to have them above shoulder height. BTW, Where is everyone? I didn't see a single bike on the road coming or going to and from work the last couple of days
